Blissful Life: michael keaton

When I first saw Birdman trailer off the Youtube, I thought it going to an action movie. The trailer did show a flying man in a superhero-bird-like costume. Turn out its not. Birdman, or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance, is a black comedy drama film starring Michael Keaton, Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Adrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, and Naomi Watts.

Now, this movie receive a very positive receptions from everybody and got a lot of nomination and awards, and then some more. Well, I suppose not everybody share the same taste. Don't get me wrong though. In a way, the movie was good. But its not the kind of movie that you'll watch for re-run or for family fun entertainment. In fact, this movie would probably appeal very much to you if you can relate to its content.

[Movie] RoboCop

A very nostalgic movie depending on which generation you belong, this new RoboCop movie is the reboot of the RoboCop franchise from the 1987 film. The were already 3 movie of RoboCop which makes the first trilogy. RoboCop (1987), RoboCop 2 (1990), and RoboCop 3 (1993). This new film doesn't continue from the last RoboCop 3, but started on a different setting of story. There a lot differences from the last trilogy, but don't worry, this RoboCop will not be a letdown to either the old fans or the new audiences.

The film stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson. Because of the generic storyline of the RoboCop film, there isn't much that I can write. Its about man and machine becomes one, where the questions raised about the feasibility and morality of using machines to exact justice to the criminals. Something like that. In overall, the film is all about family fun entertainment. There is nothing more than entertaining especially for kids to watch some robot fighting the unjust.
